Hey, Local Folks!

The Fellowship of the Spiral Path does something on the first Tuesday of every month down at the Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists, known more socially as "BFUU", at the corner of Cedar Avenue and Bonita Street in Berkeley.

This month--specifically, tonight--several Spiral notables including [livejournal.com profile] dpaxson will be putting on "Pagan Songs, Chants, and Music Ritual".

Me? Well, I'll be there, but with two drums (one to use and one to lend), because I sang on Sunday, sooner and longer than I should have done, and my voice is still wrecked. That was dumb. Dumb for a good reason, because I sound reasonable on the disc--but dumb!

Afterwards, we will break for the traditional post-Spiral-thingy dinner at Au Coquelet.

People are encouraged to bring small noisemakers (drums, rattles, &c), and songs to share. Bring enough interesting songs that no-one is tempted to break into "This Is Another Pagan Dirge".

Never again the dirging times!

And now, back to my tea...

[livejournal.com profile] camwyn, my college roommate, has an LJ icon, thus:

Ladies and gentlemen, today I installed stereoscopic molecular imagery software on a Linux-running Laptop o' DOOM, as the fellow in question would like to take his setup on the road.

To properly ensure that the molecules are coming off the screen and into your lap requires...goggles. Indeed, goggles that have a wee battery in them so they can flutter opaque/transluscent in alternating eyes to match the screenwobble, many times a second.

I got to bounce around the office with Goggles of Science! Yaaaaaaay!

There is no "away". So where are you going to put that? It may not wind up where you expect.

Time to leave work, flit across the Bay, and wish I could sing--until then, y'all, go well!
