We're on a Mission from God...
Apr. 23rd, 2004 08:35 pmWell, several, actually.
On Monday, in the afternoon or evening, a green Ford Taurus will have travel charms applied, be packed up with various Stuff and Things, and set upon the road.
We'll spend the first night in Bakersfield, a night in Blythe, and unless we have trouble with giant man-eating bats, head out across the desert towards Albuquerque.
Left turns will, of course, be made. We're ostensibly going for a campout, but as the Westria novel currently in-progress has a plot out that way, we're following the path of the plot home, making this all a business expense and a writeoff. Whee! We'll go through Phoenix, and over I-10 and into Elaya -- uh, LA.
dasubergeek is expecting us, where Wedding Plotting for
ardzxf will happen.
Last time I was gone this long and with that much mileage, I wrote a travelogue. We'll have one laptop and two Palm Pilots (with keyboards, by gum!) between us... I think I might just do that again. We'll see.
Anyway, this is just fair warning that you'll not see me for awhile: we're leaving Monday and won't be back until the evening of 7 May, the day before a big old trancey woo ritual at Greyhaven.
Yaaaaay! Now I just have to pack... erp.
Catch y'all on the flip-flop.
