Wasn't That Fun?
Jan. 4th, 2008 10:42 pmFirst things first:
lorien, which is what many of you know as "my mail!" and "my web server!" was down for several hours this afternoon due to today's highly exciting weather, wherein several inches of rain and hurricane-force winds wuthered with gusto and glee 'round my westward window--and quite knocked out the power.
After a couple hours of fever-fuddled thumb-fiddling fugue,
countgeiger and I nipped out with
dpaxson for Dinner and a Movie. Predictably, just before the picture was to start, and therefore too late to reasonably deal with it, I found out the power had been restored*, after which
lferion called, so she knew before anyone else.
It's back up now--please enjoy your regularly scheduled e-mail, websites, and assorted amusements! As a bonus, the past several months' kernel upgrades have all come to roost at once. This shouldn't break anything that's apparent to you, Gentle User, but should it, you know what to do.

Be careful out there!
