Al Gore published this article in the New York Times today, on which I would more comment and excerpt were I not frantic getting this website ready for, not just prime time, but:

dpaxson will be leading this ritual, for which auntiematter and I will be calling two of the quarters.
The ritual, due to its need to be as comprehensible as possible to as much of the pagan community as possible, is written in a fairly Wiccanesque style--as this is the only lingua franca available. Still, all of like mind and good heart are heartily encouraged to take part as much as they feel appropriate--if nothing else, raising a horn to the Founding Fathers and the principles for which they fought, wrote, swore, and died on the Fourth would not be inappropriate, I should think.
After that, we'll be whisked away to a regional festival, where we'll be doing--well, go read the page, asdpaxson, auntiematter, and I will all be there doing Stuff and Things, as is our wont.
Then I sleep.
See you all next Tuesday, unless I see you in DC!
