Hi, did you know that the FBI can randomly mail your system administrators, e-mail host providers, et al a letter, without ever talking to a judge, ordering anything they like?

I repeat: at their sole discretion? None of your dicking about with probable cause, due process, or...anything.

And then forbid you to reveal you've even received such a letter, or anything regarding the incident, to anyone...including your spouse?

Just because they might possibly have a vapor of a suspicion that you might have possibly ever had anything to do with terrorism--and they can dream pretty big?

You didn't?

Guess what. They can. This is old news, and you should know that.

Appalled? If the First Amendment means a good godsdamn to you... you should be.

Do you think it can't happen to you?

Think again.

On my honor, this has never been asked of me.

One may reasonably expect that I would act in my typical fashion were this to occur.

A gift for a gift, but lies for lies.

Ditto. Cause these bastards scare me more than terrorists.

It would be against my religious principles to accept such an order.

A Discordian is Prohibited of Believing what he reads.

I would be forbidden to believe that the FBI had ordered me not to speak about it.

According to my religious principles, clan and kin come before poopy old kings.

However, as Egil's Saga demonstrates, one should be wise about how one goes about disobeying poopy old kings. Leaving the country for good is often indicated, if the attention is too personal.

I can't give you specifics, but while at a certain Fruit company, I was asked to turn over people's internet activity records to the DoJ. Reason #1800 why I don't work there anymore.

Dear gods, what would I do? I'm not even really capable of answering a direct question with a blatant falsehood.

*scared*
