Boris Out of Surgery

gnowun is out of surgery and now in Critical Care Unit 3 at Mercy General Hospital in Merced. Surgery went well; he's got a temporary colostomy bag until things heal up, but he should be able to go on normally after that. He's loopy from morphine right now for that extra "whee!" factor.

The hospital's website is down; have a GoogleMap instead. Their central switchboard is (209) 385-7000. gnowun is in the patient directory now--by his legal name.

They'll be moving him to a more normal ward soon (3 West?). Visiting hours are 10a-8p, and Merced is about a two hour drive from Bay Area. dpaxson and I will be lighting out for the Valley from Greyhaven sometime this afternoon--call my cell if you're interested in carpooling and can make it to Greyhaven by 3pm.
