Going to Pantheacon?
Aug. 22nd, 2008 11:43 amAre you going to Pantheacon?
Be aware that the Doubletree, the convention hotel, has told me that they are sold out, and they are referring people to either check the convention website's lodging page or to call the store for more information--one surmises that this will give you the same overflow hotel list as visiting the website.
Note I haven't said "is sold out"--hotel booking is a strange and fluid thing: blocks of rooms that were formerly blocked will become available, and if you're in Hilton's frequent guest program, suddenly there may be a room available for you. In the main, though: no.
Be further aware that you cannot book into the Pantheacon block at the primary overflow hotel (Holiday Inn San Jose, (408) 793-3300) until 08 October (at least according to the Pcon website), so put something into your calendar now about that.
Last year, in response to my last year's post on this topic, which included "why haven't we moved?"
pentaclemoon wrote an excellent rant about Why PantheaCon Isn't Moving, which I can't find, else I'd link to it here.
