I'm glad for that.
Thank you, everyone who responded to the earlier post. I read every one of your comments, and most made me cry.
After some preparations,
dpaxson has graciously lent me space in her front yard, where the roses can gently grok him, and he will be buried with many other cats. Thank you for the kind offer,
wolfs_daugher--I'd already made arrangements when you'd asked.
purplevenus, I wouldn't mind you helping dig the hole, but the preparations will be awhile; it'll be late this evening, if not tomorrow morning, when it'll be burying time. Please call me.
Next: food, caffeine, and a bit of undyed linen for a shroud. Grave goods to include a bit of fresh catnip and, possibly, a laser pointer. He loved that right up until he worked out where the beam came from, then watched my hand instead.
Next overly sentimental post will be the eulogy; you've been warned.
