Roz Savage Is Rowing Across the Pacific
Jul. 26th, 2008 10:42 amI recently found out that the scientists on San Francisco's Farallone Islands have a blog, which one may friend on LJ as
los_farallones. If any of you have read The Sea Star from
dpaxson's Westria series, much of the early action takes place on these Far Alone islands.
Today's entry in the Farallones' scientists' blog is about their run in with a lady crazy enough to row across the Pacific Ocean, having already rowed across the Atlantic. Roz Savage is rowing across the Pacific Ocean in stages to increase environmental awareness.
She of course has a blog, which you may friend via LJ as
roz_savage.
She's updating nearly every day.
From a one-woman rowboat.
In the middle of the bloody Pacific Ocean.
Is that cool or what?
