According to Wikipedia, one cuts the tri-tip roast into triangle steaks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tri-tip) if one is in the UK, coulottes in France. If one stuck all of a cow's triangle steaks back together, one would have (presumably) a triangle roast--this was what we grilled.
