Heh! No sooner did I post that runic lot than, naturally, erynn999 made cute noises. And faces. I am completely pervious to these from the right parties...sleep? Who needs sleep?

So now! Raided like Cattle from Seattle with all honor due to Our Shared Indo-European Tradition...

Ogham LJ icons to go with the Elder Futhark set I just made. These are on a wood background, as ogham are most famous for being carved on wood, just as runes are best-known for being carved on stone (yes, I know, neither is an exclusive domain and so forth).

As far as copyright goes, I reckon Ogma wasn't hoarding any more than Odin was, so go forth and nick 'em, as long as you give credit. Feel free to crosspost to cr_r or wherever else strikes your fancy.

While I'm randomly pimping, may I toss in that erynn999 wrote a sweet little ogham booklet? The print version is $5, but those sold like hotcakes at P-con and they're gone, but I bet if you ask nicely you could negotiate some other price for a PDF just like the one on my hard drive.

Thank you kindly--the tutorials I found on wood and stone backgrounds gave easy, aesthetic results. Not that I have any idea what they actually do, but the recipes had swift results. After that, it was a matter of font picking, but I've some experience in layout editing and design.

Only if I friend you back and you don't mind a lot of posts that are, basically, "OMG KNITTING!" and/or "ONOES THE SERVER IS DOWN!!1!!one!" It really does put me to mind of posting more interesting things...really. I swear. Being on the board of directors of a nationwide heathen organization (http://www.thetroth.org/) for three years learned me a thing or two about venting in recordable fora, or even saying anything spiritually pertinent, but that's done now--I'm getting over it, but slowly.

Like with LJ icons. 8-)
